Here a few things that I realised after experience with the exam.
RBI grade B is the most underrated job.
Time spent by an average aspirant in searching for strategy and guidance videos >> Time spent in actually studying for the exam
Most of the successful aspirants start preparation only after the release of notification of the exam
The exam syllabus can be easily managed in 40–50 days.
Finance is the most overhyped section
GA decides your selection in Phase 1
You need a little bit of luck to clear the Phase 1. Normalisation by IBPS is non-reliable.
70% of the material by most of the coaching institutes is useless.
Quant section can be easily dealt with targeted practice. Do not worry about it
English can give you an edge in both the phases. Don’t you dare ignore it.
Phase 2 should be prepared before phase 1. Time between phase 1 and Phase 2 is not sufficient to study for Phase 2.
Management is all about common sense.
Keep your Phase 2 short notes and very short notes ready before Phase 1. These are the only notes that you can study after phase 1.
Running after each and every source for GA in Phase 1 is a recipe for disaster.
Finance and Management
It doesn’t matter, if you have zero knowledge of Finance or Management. It can be easily managed in 10–12 days. Questions are usually on easier side.
Reading bulky material of coaching institutes is not going to help you in any manner. In fact, it eats up your valuable time. Keep your Notes and Resources very limited, that you can revise in 2–3 days.
Keep you source very limited for Finance. It’s an objective exam, with no calculator allowed. RBI can not ask questions based on lengthy calculations in finance. Coaching Institutes will never tell you this
Will keep adding to it. Target is to make it 30.
